Geopathic Stress Survey
Sussex, UK
A home survey of how geopathic stress may be affecting your sleep and health — a home survey is available alongside sessions in Fairlight, Sussex.
Geopathic stress refers to areas of ground — often above underground streams or geological fault lines — that could affect wellbeing over long periods of time, particularly where a bed or sleeping area sits directly above one.
A brief history.
The idea of geopathic stress dates back to the 1930s, when German researcher Gustav von Pohl carried out extensive investigations into the effects of underground water and geological fault lines.
Von Pohl was particularly interested in whether there was a connection between these underground features and serious illness. He surveyed areas and homes in Germany, mapping the location of underground streams and geological features in relation to where people lived and slept.
His work became particularly associated with his investigations into cancer. He claimed to have found a very strong correlation between people who had developed cancer and the position of their beds over underground water.
His findings generated considerable interest and debate in Germany and have remained controversial. Nevertheless, the work of von Pohl is still referred to within the field of geopathic stress, and the practice has continued in Germany and parts of Eastern Europe.
In the UK, geopathic stress is a much less familiar concept, although there continues to be interest in exploring the possible relationship between the environment in which we live and our wellbeing.

At night while we sleep, the body heals and regenerates itself.
If we are sleeping over an area of geopathic stress, it can interfere with the process of rest and restoration. This is due to the body’s resources being used to neutralise the effect of that geopathic stress (which is mostly caused by underground streams we may or may not know about). If we are not about to efficiently rest and restore during sleep overtime we can become physically and emotionally unwell.
As part of your treatment journey, I offer a home dowsing survey on top of the Bioresonance Sessions to check your sleeping area for Geopathic stress.
This is a straightforward, practical check — I visit, assess the area using dowsing, and let you know if anything's worth addressing, such as repositioning a bed.

Instruments used
Geopathic stress can be measured with a Geomagnetometer which is an extremely expensive piece of equipment. However, and as shown in the video linked above, when a dowser and physicist with a geomagnetometer measure the same area, they both find stress in exactly the same place. I use dowsing rods which I have many years experience of using and I find them to be a very useful method for locating Geopathic stress.

Testimonial
I had a Geopathic Stress survey after hearing Simon talk about it. He surveyed my house where I and my daughter sleep in adjacent bedrooms. He found an underground stream running under the top of both our beds. I told him that I had had my thyroid removed a while ago. My daughter had to have two brain operations in the last few years, and he said that sleeping with our heads and necks over an underground stream was probably a big contributor to this.. After moving both beds I no longer wake up with a headache in the morning and my daughter says she is sleeping much better.
Why Earthing at Night Matters more than you might think
Making sure your bed is in an optimised location for sleep is a very important part of the healing equation. Another important part is Earthing! For me, the importance of earthing comes back to one simple idea: we are designed to heal, restore and regenerate while we sleep. Find out why I say walking barefoot on the Earth for 15 mins a day, whilst nice, isn’t enough for optimum healing.
“I went for a general Bioresonance treatment and scan and Simon said that it would be good to check the place where I sleep for geopathic stress. He found an underground stream running diagonally below my bed, around my midsection. Learning this made me wonder if going to hospital a year ago with hepatitis and major liver problems was related to my sleeping with this below where my liver is.”
